Vaser® Liposuction Clinic
VASER® liposuction is a modern, ultrasound-assisted liposuction technique designed to remove excess fat and sculpt the body with greater precision, less trauma and faster recovery compared to traditional liposuction methods.
The term “VASER” stands for Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance: the technology uses ultrasonic sound waves to break up fat gently before removal, allowing your surgeon to sculpt with enhanced control and smoother results.
How does it work?
1. Ultrasonic disruption – The VASER probe emits ultrasound energy which loosens fat cells and the supporting tissue ‘bonds’ in the targeted area. This means less forceful pulling or ripping of fat, which helps reduce bruising and swelling.
2. Gentle removal – Once the fat is loosened, a thin cannula is used to suction out the liquefied fat tissue. The technique focuses on removing only fat, leaving underlying nerves, blood vessels and connective tissue largely intact for a more refined outcome.
3. Body contouring – Because the fat removal is more controlled, VASER liposuction is well suited not only for fat reduction, but also for sculpting the body and defining musculature (for example, the “six-pack” for men or defined curves for women). Many clinics refer to this as “Hi-Def” or “4D” VASER sculpting.
What can it treat and who is it for?
Areas that can benefit:
VASER liposuction can be applied to many parts of the body including:
- Chin & neck area
- Upper arms (“bingo wings”)
- Shoulders & upper back
- Tummy / abdomen, flanks (“love handles”) & hips
- Thighs (inner and outer)
- Male chest (gynaecomastia / “moobs”)
- Mons pubis other more niche zones
Is Vaser Liposuction right for you?
This treatment is most appropriate for people who:
- Are close to their ideal body weight
- Have stubborn fat deposits that haven’t responded to diet and exercise
- Have good skin quality and realistic expectations about the outcome
- Are committed to maintaining the result with a healthy lifestyle (diet + exercise)
- Are healthy but in need to have a de-bulk of stubborn resistive fat
During a consultation, our surgeon or clinic team will assess your suitability — including your body mass index (BMI), skin condition, expectations and health status.
The benefits of VASER vs traditional liposuction:
- Less trauma & bruising – Because the ultrasound energy loosens fat first, there’s less mechanical damage caused by cannula motion, which often means a gentler recovery.
- More sculpting capability – Allows more finesse in certain areas, enabling contouring rather than just bulk fat removal.
- Versatility – Can be used on many body areas including smaller zones such as chin, arms, mons pubis or the inner thigh.
- Faster recovery – Reduced trauma often results in shorter downtime, though individual recovery times vary.

What can I expect? From booking to aftercare...
1. Free telephone call initial assessment
Our patient co-ordinator will be able to offer you an initial assessment to discuss your goals, review your medical history, and plan whether VASER is the right approach for you.
2. Consultation
A more detailed appointment where you meet the surgeon/doctor, review before/after photos, understand the procedure details, discuss cost, recovery and any risks.
3. The procedure
On the day you’ll attend the clinic for surgery. Local anaesthetic with or without sedation is used depending on the zones treated. The VASER probe is applied, then fat removed via cannula; in some cases a compression garment is fitted.
4. Aftercare & recovery
- You may have mild swelling, bruising and discomfort which gradually subsides.
- A compression garment is typically worn for a number of weeks to aid skin retraction and healing.
- Lymphatic drainage massage (MLD) may be recommended.
- You’ll be advised to maintain a healthy lifestyle (diet + exercise) to protect and enhance your results.
Within your consultation your surgeon will clearly assess your expectation, health status (e.g., smoking, medical history) and ensure you understand what the realistic outcome will be.
