PDO Thread Lift

PDO thread lifts are the latest aesthetic procedure, and one that is becoming highly popular in the UK. If you are looking for a non-surgical skin tightening solution for your sagging skin and jowels, cheeks, fine lines and drooping upper eyebrows, PDO thread lifts have the potential to deliver this and give you amazing results.

PDO thread lifts and dermal fillers can essentially deliver a facelift look without any surgery. There are no incisions or cuts just simple injections placed in strategic places. PDO (polydioxanone) are special dissolvable threads that dissolve in six months, they have been used in heart surgery for many years and are perfectly safe when injected they create three effects, lift the skin, tighten the skin by promoting collagen and elastin and smooth the skin by promoting the formation of hyaluronic acid. which improves skin hydration and moisturisation

The procedure was developed in Korea, they lead the way in cutting edge cosmetic technology. Dr Bassi has been using PDO threads for over eight years having been trained by a number of Korean specialists. He was one of the first to use these threads in the Midlands area and has developed his own bespoke techniques with this procedure.

Most clients can benefit from a PDO/PCL thread lift in combination with Dermal Fillers.

In some cases, a surgical facelift will be the only option. In the UK a surgical facelift can cost around £7,000 to £10,000. Dr Bassi will advise you at your consultation on which route to take.

Dr S. Bassi, our highly experienced cosmetic physician, has over 8 years of experience in performing thread lifts

We only use cog threads. These have microscopic barbs which, like fishhooks, that attach into the skin, to provide support and lift the saggy tissue. We use a range of threads of different thicknesses and length to achieve optimum results.

Results are instant and get better over the next 6 to 12 weeks as collagen, elastic and hylauronic acid is stimulated and produced.

Our extensive experience shows that PDO (polydioxanone) threads last 6 to 8 months. PCL (polycaproleactone) threads last 12 to 18 months.

We use a local anaesthetic which dramatically reduces any discomfort from the procedure, clients inform us that it is a relatively comfortable procedure.

PDO threads have been used in heart surgery and PCL threads in orthopaedic surgery for many years and are completely safe.

You might experience some swelling and/or tenderness over the site, this usually settles within 2 to 3 weeks. Minor asymmetry post procedure.

You can return to work the next day.
